Food for thought

Some quotes that I think would be a good basis for a full conversation:

Efficiency is intelligent laziness.
David Dunham
Efficiency, intelligence, laziness. 2 out of 3 of those are on my resume...

Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness; no laziness; no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
Lord Chesterfield (1694 - 1773)
Why is it that we're all so painfully aware that our time is limited, and yet we waste so much of it.

It's not that I'm lazy. It's that I just don't care.
Peter Gibbons
Are laziness and aimlessness the same?

Don't think of retiring from the world until the world will be sorry that you retire. I hate a fellow whom pride or cowardice or laziness drives into a corner, and who does nothing when he is there but sit and growl. Let him come out as I do, and bark.
Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784)
I think that bark/bite is a better contrast than bark/growl, but we get Sammy's point.

Comments:
How am I supposed to contribute when I'm not a team member? I briefly considered the possibility that there's something I'm supposed to do somewhere on the site to join, but I didn't try to search blogger for the answer or anything. I was busy reading ESPN.com.

I sent an invitation to you to join. mario@bu i think. no good?

in·er·tia n.
1. Physics. The tendency of a body to resist acceleration; the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest or of a body in straight line motion to stay in motion in a straight line unless acted on by an outside force.
2. Resistance or disinclination to motion, action, or change: the inertia of an entrenched bureaucracy.
